Using Tow Hitch Cover Installing HitchSafe Setting Combination Drawer

Setting the Combination on the Drawer

	1. Set to current opening combination (new from factory default is 0-0-0-0). You can change the combination as often as you like. Each time you would set it to the current opening combination before you can change the code. Hitch Cover	2. Test to make sure you are on opening combination by flipping down drawer release (2)
	3. Turn reset screw clockwise 90 degrees to vertical position	4. Set dials to your desired opening combination. Write this number down!
	5. Return the reset screw counter-clockwise to horizontal position	6. Check the dials to be sure you have your correct number and then TEST YOUR COMBINATION before placing it into the HitchSafe by scrambling the dials, setting it to your combination and then confirming the drawer release flips down (and you will see the catches on the sides go inwards).

	8. If in step 6 if you test the combination and the drawer release button does not flip down, try the following. This tests if you accidentally rolled one number off while setting your combination. a. Confirm the combination is on your intended number. b. Try on the first dial up one and then down one number each time testing the release button. c. Return the first dial to the first number in your intended combination. d. Repeat b & c on the remaining 3 dials. e. If you still can not discover your combination, send the drawer to us and we have a machine and a free service whereby we will reset the combination for you. 	9. If the drawer is locked inside the HitchSafe inside the Hitch Receiver and you have forgotten your number, you will need to take your vehicle to a locksmith.
	Notes: - The drawer can only be inserted into HitchSafe when the correct combination is set - The dials can only be turned when the drawer release (2) is in the up position. - HitchSafe is not responsible for lost or misdialed combinations. - When changing the combination always test the combination prior to inserting the drawer into the HitchSafe. - Write your number down & keep in safe place. The HitchSafe is secure with 10,000 possible combinations so do not lose your number!
